BRIEF
Cascade is the end result of a detailed and extensive design process aimed at producing seating that reimagines the traditional chair. The idea was to design a type of seating that was both simplistic and functional. Cascade is a lounge chair designed to appear as one continuous flowing shape, aiming to push the boundaries of traditional design. This CNC-routed seating bends at soft angles to support the curves of the human body, ensuring an experience of relaxation and comfort. The seat also encourages users to connect with nature as it is positioned close to the ground.
RESULT
After a countless thoughtful iterations and adjustments in Rhino, Cascade was brought to life as a full-scale model. My role in the project was crucial, as I was tasked with making sure every detail of the model was perfect. From initial drawings of design concepts to completion of the final product, this project evolved into something truly remarkable.
